Yiannis Kalatzis: O STAMOULIS O LOHIAS
ποιος είμ' εγώ, ποιος είσ' εσύ;
Πώς αλλάξαμε λοχία,
κοίτα τη φωτογραφία.
Ο πιο ανίκητος εχθρός
είναι, λοχία, ο καιρός
είναι λοχία ο Καιρός.
In Amfiloxia I found
My old comrade-in-arms
Sergeant Stamouli
With his grey head.
Many years ago in Tepeleni,
As 20 year olds,
In our blood-spattered greatcoats,
We fought for freedom.
Now at our age
We quietly drink our wine.
Oh sergeant!
How did we end up like this!
Who are you and who am I?
Oh sergeant, how we've changed;
Look at the picture.
The most unbeatable enemy
Is time, sergeant,
Is Time.

DJ Ironik - Stay With Me (2008)
DJ Ironik - Stay With Me (2008) SkidVid
DJ Ironik [born January 18th 1988 in London, England] is a British musician and DJ. His genre of music varies from R'n'b, Grime and hip-hop. He started his early career at the age of 13 when he worked as a DJ in clubs, initially in his home country but his talent was quickly spotted and he moved around Europe. At the age of 20 he signed to major record label Atlantic/Warner UK. He released his first single, 'So Nice', in summer 2007. It achieved popularity on the music channels, including remaining in the top 3 of the viewer request chart on Channel U for 20 weeks, however it had limited success elsewhere.
'Stay with Me' is the first hit single of Ironik, which went into the charts at No.11 on downloads alone, then No.5 on it's physical release. It equally had success on Channel U, remaining in the request chart top 10 for 26 weeks. The remix to 'Stay With Me' features Chipmunk and Asylum label-mate, Wiley. Γ??Stay With MeΓ??, was written by Ironik for his younger sister, fuelled by his fear for her growing up in a society rife with knife crime and violence. This is the official video version.

Alexander The Great-Αλεξανδρος ο Μεγας
Alexander the Great (Greek: Αλέξανδρος ο Μέγας or Μέγας Aλέξανδρος,[1] Megas Alexandros; July 20, 356 BC[2] June 10 or June 11, 323 BC),[3] also known as Alexander III of Macedon (Greek: Αλέξανδρος Γ' ο Μακεδών) was an ancient Greek[4][5] king (basileus) of Macedon (336323 BC). He was one of the most successful military commanders in history, and is presumed undefeated in battle. By the time of his death, he had conquered most of the world known to the ancient Greeks.
Alexander assumed the kingship of Macedon following the death of his father Philip II of Macedon. Philip had unified[6] most of the city-states of mainland Greece under Macedonian hegemony in a federation called the League of Corinth.[7] After reconfirming Macedonian rule by quashing a rebellion of southern Greek city-states, and staging a short but bloody excursion against Macedon's northern neighbors, Alexander set out east against the Achaemenid Persian Empire, which he defeated and overthrew. His conquests including Anatolia, Syria, Phoenicia, Judea, Gaza, Egypt, Bactria, and Mesopotamia, and extended the boundaries of his own empire as far as Punjab, India.
Prior to his death, Alexander had already made plans for military and mercantile expansions into the Arabian peninsula, after which he was to turn his armies to the west (Carthage, Rome, and the Iberian Peninsula). His original vision had been to the east, though, to the ends of the world and the Great Outer Sea, as described by his boyhood tutor and mentor Aristotle.
Alexander integrated many foreigners into his army, leading some scholars to credit him with a "policy of fusion." He also encouraged marriages between his soldiers and foreigners; he himself went on to marry two foreign princesses.
Alexander died after twelve years of constant military campaigning, possibly as a result of malaria, poisoning, typhoid fever, viral encephalitis or the consequences of alcoholism.[8][9] His legacy and conquests lived on long after him, and ushered in centuries of Greek settlement and cultural influence over distant areas. This period is known as the Hellenistic Age, and featured a combination of Greek, Middle Eastern and Indian culture. Alexander himself was featured prominently in the history and myth of both Greek and non-Greek cultures. His exploits inspired a literary tradition in which he appeared as a legendary hero in the tradition of Achilles.
