Will joins his prep school's poetry club because he wants the woman leader of the club. He lies to her and claims he knows a made-up poet named Raphael De LaGhetto, but when she believes him and entices him to bring this poet to the club to recite a poem, Will must find someone to act as this poet.
At the recitation, Geoffrey shows up and pretends to be Raphael De LaGhetto. He manages to pull it off until Hilary's friend recognizes who he is and gives it away. Frantic, Will gets Jazz to claim he is Raphael De La Ghetto; but in the process, Jazz ends up taking the girl Will wanted.

They were 2 black men in a nice car so the police automatically assumed they were criminals. When Will tells the story to Philip he becomes angry and uses his lawyer knowledge to help Will and Carlton put. Carlton finally understands why they were pulled over. Philip explains to Will and Carlton the past and the prejudice that went on when he was younger and why there are still police who abide by them. Philip exposes the police who did this to Will and Carlton.

Unfortunetly, her father is Dr. No, and it's because he says no to every, single boy that makes a move on his daughter. Will turns to Carlton, assisted by Phil and Geoffrey, for help. He soon finds out that although her father approves of him, the girl, Mimi, does not. He then puts on a double roll at the dance they are attending: a transfer from Conneticut, and a boy straight outta Harlem!
