Remake of the "Emperor" in the Tamiya Mini 4-Wheel Drive PRO

At the Tokyo International Toy Show, Tamiya displayed its Mini 4-Wheel Drive series, the most popular battery powered model car series sold in Japan. The Dash No. 1 Emperor, which was enormously popular in Japan and was the driving force behind the recent boom of mini 4-wheel drives, is now a part of the mini 4-wheel drive PRO series. The car is a remake of the old Emperor. The original form had very accurate mechanical details including an air intake on top of the cockpit and exhaust pipes at the rear of the body. This original mechanically detailed form was adopted and arranged to accommodate the MS chassis and then equipped with pin spike tires designed to look like the original version. In addition to the Emperor, Tamiya is planning to remake other nostalgic machines such as the Racer Mini 4-Wheel Drive series. The Emperor will be released July 12th with a price of 945 yen.
