Freedom! 90 - George Michael
This 1990 music video, directed by David Fincher, is most certainly among my select all-time favorites.
Featuring the nineties dominating Trinity of supermodels, that is Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington - and adding Tatjana Patitz and Cindy Crawford - this video became iconic in its own use of icons.
George Michael refused to be a visual part of this video to a song which was clearly supposed to visualize his break with his Wham! (and Sony) past. Pay attention to the destruction of items representing his past, such as the leather jacket.
A great song, wonderful video that matches the song and then adds some.
George Michael's career has manifested in a number of great music videos. I can recommend you to get the two disc DVD "Twenty Five" featuring forty music videos, among them Careless Whisper, Roxanne and including Wham! classics such as Club Tropicana and Last Christmas.

PUT THE SOUND LOUD AND YOU'LL BE BACK IN 'DE MEER' STADIUM
In 1994-1995 Ajax won the Champions League, beating AC Milan three times. The next season, Ajax started with 36 points out of 12 leaguematches (47-3), won the World Cup and reached the CL-Final. During the first half of the next season, the special squad was probably the best Ajax ever seen - pulverising all possible opponents, including a fantastic victory over Real Madrid in Santiago Bernabeu.
The images are from two league games. Ajax-Groningen (1994-1995) and Ajax-Roda JC (1995-1996). With appearances from: Louis van Gaal, Danny Blind, Clarence Seedorf, Patrick Kluivert, Ronald and Frank de Boer, Edgar Davids, Frank Rijkaard, Edwin van der Sar, Finidi George, Michael Reiziger, Winston Bogarde, Peter van Vossen, Nwankwo Kanu, Martijn Reuser and last but not least: Jari Litmanen.
