Jonathan Dimbleby talks about his love of horses
Distinguished broadcaster Jonathan Dimbleby has had a highly successful career and he is well known as the presenter of BBC Radio 4s Any Questions. Recognised as a leading author, journalist and political commentator, his recent BBC TV series on Russia was critically acclaimed. What is less well known about Dimbleby, is his passion for horses.
During the interview (which was recorded before Dimblebys trip to Russia) he tells of his background with horses, how he started on fat little ponies that used to bite and kick. Progressing to riding and training young horses for a living and culminating with his proudest moments in life, when he was crowned the South of England Show jumping champion.

Rich gets advice off Jonathan Dimbleby about Russian roads!
You can't actually see anything on this video, as it was surrepticiously recorded on a mobile phone secreted in the inside pocket of a coat! The whole idea though was to simply capture the sound - and what you'll hear is an exchange between Rich and Jopnathan Dimbleby, in which Rich asks the sage-like broadcaster for advice on tackling the rugged roads of Russia! This opportunity to question Dimbleby came about through Rich going along to see Dimbleby do a reading to promote his new book, 'Russia' - a spin-off from his recent TV series that saw him travel through the land of Rasputin and vodka...
