rava dosa making made easier
rava dosa is easy to make especially if you make it by the method shown here ..and is a very tasty kind of dosa The steps shown in the video are as follows:
a. MAKING THE BATTER...take two measures of any old batter (of dosa or idli) add to it six or seven measures of fine rava ... and one teaspoon of salt and some kothmir( hara dhaniya/ cilantro ).. mix six to seven 200 ml glasses of plain water and keep for half an hour.
MAKING THE TADKA: Heat about 2 or 3 table spoons of oil, fry mustard, jeera, finely cut ginger, chillies and karepak ( curry leaves ) and add to the batter
MAKING THE DOSA: Take about 100 ml ( one cup ) of the batter after thorough mixing and pour it into a very hot non stick griddle ( tava ) .. the batter should be so diluted that when poured into the griddle will spread itself uniformly .. pour oil around the edges of the dosa and wait till it turns brown and releases itself from the edges on its own .. then flip over and wait till the hissing / crackling sound becomes less
NOTHING MORE ! JUST EAT IT ! with some chutney perhaps ? or just plain butter .. any way u like it ..
MOST IMPORTANT ! LET ME KNOW IF IT WORKED FOR YOU ...
