2007 AIA Stanley International Dragonboat Championships 赤柱龍舟
Hong Kong, 19 June 2007. Hong Kong's premier Tuen Ng dragon boat festival celebrates its 40th anniversary today in Stanley with a record number of teams taking part. 208 teams, representing more than 4,000 paddlers, will take to the water at the AIA Stanley International Dragon Boat Championships 2007, forming the largest and most colourful celebration of the traditional Chinese festival held in the territory.

This is a video of TW Mabinogi's DragonBoat Race event. The objective is to finish the race within 8 minutes. Dragonboat Technique: DragonMax Demonstrates Smooth Stroke
We use a stroke similar to this most of the time in practice and for the first half of a 500 meter race. Because the power is smooth it is more aerobic and less stressful on the back and shoulders. It is also important to stay balanced and not contort yourself during rotation. When racing we shorten and speed up the smooth stroke somewhat and use a quicker, more feathered recovery and entry.
