Renault R25 Formula One singing engine
At the 2006 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the south of England, Renault Formula One engineers connected a computer to the engine after the car had come back from running up the hill. This is one of several 'songs' the engine can perform by varying the fuel input and engine RPM. Apart from 'God Save the Queen' (performed in the video), the engine can do 'We are the Champions', and the Spanish and French national anthems. Enjoy!

Singapore's debut on the Formula One circuit - 23 Sep 08
History will be made at the Singapore Grand Prix when the first Formula One is held at night, providing a new dimension and challenge for racers.
For Singapore the race is part of a drive to boost tourism and business.

First Formula One Night Race
ANCHOR:
Singapore is gearing up for the first Formula One night race in the sport's history. But drivers and teams are worried about the different challenges the event could bring.
STORY:
With only four races left on the calendar, including Singapore, the two top drivers, Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa have only one point difference in the championship standings.
Adding to the competition between the two drivers, the Singapore Grand Prix is the first street circuit race to be competed at night and under high-power floodlights. This should make the event attractive to the fans.
The lighting system around the 5 kilometer track was upgraded to illuminate the streets to a level bright enough to meet high definition television broadcast standards.
The climatic condition is hot and humid, with regular late morning and early afternoon showers. Adding to these conditions are the particularities of any street race which permits no room for error.
Three-time Formula One world champion Sir Jackie Stewart has concerns.
[Sir Jackie Stewart, Formula One Champion]:
"There is a risk on a night race, in open wheel racing cars, if it does rain, particularly if it is torrential rain like you get in the equator, so there is a degree of the unknown, but I'm sure everything will be done, should be done for safety and everything else, and there is an opportunity of course because there is two practice days to find out exactly the dos and the don'ts of racing in the dark."
Singapore was awarded the organization of the Grand Prix in May 2007 and had to get all the infrastructures ready in about 14 months.
The three-day event will start on Friday with the first practice session.

The Bahrain International Circuit is host to the last official FIA Formula One testing events before the Formula One World Championship kicks off in Melbourne on the 18th March. The two three-day tests take place on February 22-24 and February 27-March 1 and the BIC is offering a special five star corporate entertaining opportunity on February 23 and two open days for the Public on Feb 24 and Feb 28.
Nine of the 11 teams taking part in the 2007 FIA Formula One World Championship will be in Bahrain as they make the final preparations for the start of the season. The Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team with new recruits Lewis Hamilton and reigning world champion Fernando Alonso will be among the runners. So too will defending constructors' champions the ING Renault F1 team, Scuderia Ferrari stars Kimi R?ikkonen and Felipe Massa, the Panasonic Toyota Racing Team, Honda Racing F1 Team, Red Bull Racing, Super Aguri F1, BMW Sauber F1 and Scuderia Toro Rosso.
A limited number of places are available for companies and individuals seeking a five-star experience of the pre-season activity. On Thursday February 23 the BIC is offering a fantastic chance to watch the technicians, drivers and engineers at their most crucial point of work: in the heart of the Formula One paddock.
