Gaudete
First of all: I know my pronunciation of the Latin is far from perfect, but I tried my best!
I recorded myself singing the old traditional song, Gaudete. I learned it by listening to the Steeleye Span version: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBZ8v9L8444
All of the tracks are me, and I recorded it using my laptop and the built-in microphone. Then, I set the song to pictures of religious paintings I found on Google. Below is some history about the song.

From Wikipedia:
"Gaudete" ("Rejoice") is a sacred Christmas carol, composed sometime in the 16th century, most likely in reference to Gaudete Sunday, the third Sunday in Advent. It is celebrated in the Roman Catholic Church falling between December 11 and December 17 inclusive. The song was published in the Piae Cantiones, a collection of Finnish/Swedish sacred songs published in 1582. No music is given for the verses, but the standard tune comes from older liturgical books.
The text, in Latin, is a typical song of praise, probably stemming from the Middle Ages. It follows the standard pattern for the time - a uniform series of four-line stanzas, each preceded by a two-line refrain (in the early English carol this was known as the burden). Carols could be on any subject, but typically they were about the Virgin Mary or the Saints of Christmas."

Gaudete Brass Quintet -Flora gave me Fairest Flowers (1598)
www.GaudeteBrass.com
The Gaudete Brass Quintet has quickly established itself as one of the premier brass chamber ensembles in the country today. Founded in 2004, the quintet is committed to sharing the great brass quintet literature with audiences in an exciting and relevant way. They are Artist-in-Residence at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
John Wilbye's music represents the epitome of the English Renaissance Madrigal. His texts, which were often his own, deal with love and nature flavored with elements of Greek and Roman mythology that were so popular at the time. The music, however, transcends the period. It challenges even the modern listener with quick shifts between major and minor modes and complex polyphonic lines.
These madrigals are edited for the Gaudete Brass by their trombonist Paul Von Hoff.
Recorded Live at the First United Methodist Church in Kenosha, WI.
Members:
Justin Olson - Trumpet
Ryan Berndt - Trumpet
Jean McCullough - French horn
Paul von Hoff - Trombone
Scott Tegge - Tuba
