E-Geniuses - Data Recovery: How to Recover Data
www.E-Geniuses.com
Hard Drive Data Recovery
Here are the 3 basic types of hard drive "crashes" and how to recover data in these scenarios.:
1) File structure is incorrect (usually caused by improper shutdown or disconnecting the drive while it is being written to. Usual fix involves running a scandisk or chkdsk. Scan can take a few hours at most depending on the settings.
2) Unreadable data caused by bits being de-magnetized. Can be resolved by running programs which "re-magnetize" the bits. This is common on laptops that get jarred or dropped mildly. Bad sectors that aren't physically damaged can be recovered. Software used: HDD Regenerator or SpinRite. Scans can take days.
3) Hardware failure. Sometimes the disk/platter gets scratched, the arm stops working (head crash), or the on-board chip gets fried. All of these repairs require a specialty recovery service. Anytime the hard drive needs to be opened, a clean room (dust-free room) is required. Time to recover data depends on the company. Turn around times is a few weeks.
I would recommend Gillware data recovery. They have very good customer service, always pick up the phone, and quick to respond.
They get the job done and don't charge unless they recover the data you want. They are also the least expensive service that I've found on the internet. See for yourself.

E-Geniuses: Media Centers & Digital Convergence (1 of 2)
We have gotten used to the idea that the television brings us information in one direction, from the corporate mainstream media and into our perception. The Internet has turned that idea on its head. The Internet allows us to use the TV as a means for two-way communication. From our living rooms, we can share ideas with the world. In the video that goes along with this newsletter, you will find out how to:
Combine the viewing experience of watching TV with the satisfaction of choosing from a vast variety of specific content only available on the Internet.
Listen to the music you've downloaded on your computer in your living room (or other common area).
Use your TV to play a slideshow of your favorite pictures.

Selamatkan Mashitah - Sufiah Yusoff ( Genius Girls )
The girl was not a genius. I remember reading about her in 1999 before all her family's troubles began. It made such an impact on me so much so that I remember it well. The article was praising and fawning over this golden family with multiple ''geniuses'' in the family. There was a 6 year old who like a little circus poodle impressed adults with feats of mathematical mastery. Their son was a tennis prodigy. But what was awful was that these children were hothoused. They would study all day and their parents would use all these tips and tricks to make them cleverer and cleverer and cleverer. Their whole life was geared around becoming more intellegent. Even relaxation because relaxation makes the brain more efficient. Personally I think hothousing kids is obscene and quite pathetic. And getting your A-level when you're 13 doesn't mean that you have true intelligence. And the sorry life of this girl now is proof in point. A true genius is someone like Mozart who ultimately creates music which gives joy to many and shows depth of character and soul and there is something spontaneous about it, it's not forced.

$98 Linux Laptop from China - The HiVision MiniNote
HiVision makes one of the worlds cheapest Linux laptops at $98 using a new cheaper chipset, WiFi, 1GB flash storage, it runs Linux, 3 USB ports, Ethernet, SDHC card reader, audio in and out. Voice-chat, Skype, multi-tabbed Firefox browser support, Abiword for word processing. Automatic online software updates. Their current model is based on a public chinese low cost case mold design and is running on a MIPS processor, they may soon also support an ARM9 with DSP as the processor and they are showing their own nice looking case design molds. All running on smooth Linux interfaces. In this video, I got to borrow a review sample of the laptop overnight, and I try to show you all the browser and other software interfaces in this extended video review of this cheap MIPS based laptop. ARM and DSP is the way that I hope that most cheap laptops are going to be based on in the near future, Google will hopefully make a great Chrome browser for this kind of Laptop and hopefully that the geniuses at OLPC soon will announce that they will work to improve ARM and DSP based laptops in XO-1.5 and XO-2 designs.

D+D's Joke Center Promo
Top drawer comedy mavericks fill the stage to experiment while new comers try and get some chops in what has been thought of as one of the toughest rooms in los angeles or as some people say a true 'revolution' (or coup de tat). Hosted by geniuses, DJ Doug Pound and Denver Smith, well known pro performers like Joe Wagner, Brody Stevens, Ron Lynch, Tim Heidecker and Josh Fadem are a few of the comedians who have established a beach head on San Fernando Road as 'regulars' at the joke center. An equally important contribution is made by the bar patrons and staff who give an ambiance of familiarity or "sameness". Ambiance contributors include bartender Jack "Clete Dumpster' Cheeser, Billy Dilley and various hobos, drifters, and ruffians who pass through.
