Hobo's Lullaby (Goebel Reeves)
cette magnifique chanson "Hobo's Lullaby"; "La Berceuse du Hobo" en français, est le résultat d'une expérience vécue par l'auteur Goebel Reeves et par W.Guthrie lui même. en effet, Woody Guthrie a partagé
la vie des hobos; il fut un hobo lui aussi. à travers les paroles simples et claires qui vont droit au coeur, transparait le désir d'être respecté car il est vrai que le vagabond qui saute sur les wagons de marchandises n'a pas en général une réputation des plus reluisantes. les paroles se veulent aussi consolantes et rassurantes pour le pauvre hobo qui vit surement bien loin de ses parents.
on ne choisit pas toujours. la vie est pleine d'imprévus aussi. Hobo's Lullaby est surtout un bel hommage à ces hobos qui survivent au jour le jour malgré l'hostilité. on peut supposer que Woody Guthrie, sans vouloir faire la morale, remet un peu
les choses à leur place en plaidant pour les personnes dont le sort n'est pas toujours des plus envieux. on pourrait penser qu'être hobo, c'est choisir la facilité; mais ce n'est pas la réalité. quand j'écoute cette merveilleuse ballade chantée par Woody
Guthrie, Ã chaque fois les larmes me viennent tellement c'est touchant et beau.
paix à tous les hobos; Goebel Reeves, l'auteur de la chanson était hobo lui aussi.

a beautiful song in homage to the hobos
and also a request of respect. when I
hear this song sung by Woody Guthrie,
everytime tears run from my eyes. it's
so great and so touching. it's my favourite song of Woody. the song was written by Goebel Reeves who was hobo himself.
