Interscope/Geffen Intern - VLog3
Okay so I went in for my first day at UMG today...turns out I'm working under IGA (Interscope Geffen Association) So basically I work for Interscope and Geffen Records, which is awesome. The first half of the day was figuring out my paperwork from my college....it turns out my college isn't hosting an internship class for the summer....so in order to not lose my internship I registered for six units of online classes at Santa Monica College (another community college in the area) I'm now taking learning skills for 3 units and keyboarding for 3 units all online so it should be pretty easy! I have to attend an orientation for the internship class and I'll be good to start working 2-3days a week starting June 26th.
So I can't share with you all the juicy details about the Artists and the inner stuff because I had to sign a confidentiality agreement..but I can tell you that the offices are awesome and security there is really tight...so I'm gonna be getting a badge with my picture on it which will be my keycard to let me into the elevators and connecting offices....I will feel all official when I get my badge! They also let me rummage through the storage of CDs and let me pick out some to keep so I picked out seven CDs including the deluxe version of Weezer's new Album and all 3 of Ashlee Simpsons Albums...

THE GAME HOPING TO BRING BLACK WALL STREET TO INTERSCOPE...
The Game is currently in talks with Interscope Records to re-negotiate his deal. While the rapper will continue to record for Dr. Dre's Aftermath label, The Game is in the process of negotiating a distribution deal for his Black Wall Street label.
The Game has had a change of heart because initially he wasn't so keen on the idea of bringing his Black Wall Street label to Interscope Records because of his tension with his former mentor 50 Cent who happens to be one of the label's best selling artists. The Game was also concerned that if he angered executives at Interscope Records they could turn around and take it out on his artists.
