Jeepers Creepers / Unsolved Mysteries comparison
Some fans of the horror movie might have noticed that the first minutes are very similar to an old segment featured on Unsolved Mysteries. Take a look to compare.
I'm guessing the writer of the movie (who also directed it) was an Unsolved Mysteries fan because nearly all the events happen in the same order...
1. A male and female are driving down a lonely country road.
2. They are playing a game where they make names out of licence plates.
3. A killer in a van drives past them.
4. They drive past an old abandoned building where the killer is dumping bloody sheets/bodies.
5. The killer pulls up behind them again.
6. They return to the old abandoned building to investigate.
For those of you that aren't familiar with the Unsolved Mysteries segment - a man named Dennis Depue killed his ex-wife, threw her body to the side of the road and buried the bloody sheet in the yard of that old school house. When this case originally aired on T.V., Depue was watching. He escaped but was soon tracked down by police. Before he could be arrested, he took out his gun and killed himself. This all happened in my home state of Michigan so I remember it very well.
