Up-to-date montage of KPRC's current image. Still very bland and boring in my opinion. KPRC desperately needs new graphics and music. I actually wouldn't mind Advantage if they'd just use cuts that aren't over a decade old. The set is also drab in my opinion. And come on, where's the HD already?

Balleza, Lorelle. This era is the height of the news tabloid days, as one notices the dramatic open. This taping was on January 9, 1997. If one listens closely, the anchor mistaken Cincinnati and stated Cleveland, instead.
For KPRC, they were a close 2nd or 1st at 10:00 during this time.

KPRC, News 2 Houston at Noon 1998 Open
Nicholas, Sachse. Dominique is anchoring the later newscasts and Olga Villaverde is subbing in. These graphics were done by Giant Octopus and the music was updated by Frank Gari. IMO, the presentation were one of the best by KPRC (as opposed to the present).
Bob Nicholas retired from the business after being demoted to weekends, Olga Villaverde returned to Miami briefly to WPLG and then left the business and Chuck George left to be the chief meteorologist at KOLD-TV.
