Marshall Goldsmith's current book, What Got You Here Won't Get You There: How Successful People Become Even More Successful, is a New York Times best-seller and was ranked as America's #1 best-selling business book in The Wall Street Journal. Dr. Goldsmith identifies 20 bad habits, mostly behavioral problems, that hinder high achievers from reaching future goals and suggests methods for promoting behavior change.
Marshall Goldsmith received his Ph.D. from UCLA. He teaches executive education at Dartmouth's Tuck School and frequently speaks at leading business schools. Dr. Goldsmith is co-founder of Marshall Goldsmith Partners, a network of top-level executive coaches.

Dr. Srikumar Rao visits Google's Mountain View, CA headquarters to discuss his book, "Are You Ready to Succeed? Unconventional Strategies to Achieving Personal Mastery in Business and Life."
Dr. Rao received his Ph.D. in Marketing from the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University. He has an M. Phil. in Marketing from the same school in addition to an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. His undergraduate training was in Physics at St. Stephen's College, Delhi University. Dr. Rao is a professor at the C. W. Post campus of Long island University and an adjunct professor at London Business School and the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley. He has been a contributing editor for Forbes and writes regularly on management practices, leadership and about the impact of technology on business processes.
He conceived the pioneering course Creativity and Personal Mastery; which is one of the most popular and highest rated courses at London Business School and Columbia Business School. Based on this course, Are You Ready to Succeed is an Eastern tradition inspired self-help book that promises readers the tools to effect fundamental life changes and find inner peace. At its heart, this is a case of Eastern philosophy leading Western MBAs along the path to self-improvement and corporate enlightenment, with a kinder and more productive working world as the ultimate goal.

FOX Attacks Decency... with Bill O'Reilly Leading the Way

Most of you are aware, and most likely have been for a while, that under the guise of "news" Fox has offered its viewers a steady stream of bias pertaining to social and political issues since its inception in 1996. From attacking Black America to pushing for war with Iran, from demonizing bloggers to distorting environmental issues, theirs is quite a record of achievement in propagating propaganda that is neither fair nor balanced.
Today we have a surprise (well at least it surprised all of us at Brave New Films). Thanks to the terrific work of the News Hounds, we bring you Fox and ole' Billy O'Reilly attacking decency. Yes, you read that right. The self-righteous, pompous, bloviators who deign to lecture on how we should behave in our personal lives, are in fact exploiting women, pandering to the lowest common denominator and pushing smut out on the airwaves on a daily basis!
And this will definitely raise your hackles. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THIS! Yes, you read that right too. So watch the video and pass it along to as many on your email list as possible. We simply must let the FCC know we are mad as hell about having their smut in our homes and as being forced to pay for it. And we're simply not going to take it anymore.

We Are Apple (Leading The Way)
This was a corporate song that was used during the Macintosh rollout in January, 1984. I heard it live, in Manhattan, before Steve Jobs took the stage to introduce the Macintosh and the new line of Lisa computer systems.
The copy that's been out on the Internet was pretty ratty looking, with dropouts in the video and the audio. I digitized and restored this version from a first generation VHS tape in my personal library. I also extracted the audio and enhanced it in my home studio to give it some more punch and reduce the noise.
So, if you are into technology, Apple corporate history, or computing, you will enjoy this. if you're not, and you just like the videos of me and my family and my bad jokes -- don't watch it, because the song is really cheesy and is a blatant rip off of Irene Cara's "Flashdance" song.
Trivia: when I saw this 'live' at the Mac introduction, we, as Apple Dealers, all LAUGHED OUR ASSES OFF at time marker 02:47 - when the guy carried a 60 pound LISA computer under his arm like it was a laptop!
Trivia: Some fellow Apple Dealers, who were watching the Macintosh introduction, got out of their seats to call their stock brokers from the pay phones to issue a 'buy' order! Smart. I wish I did the same. I was too involved in figuring out how I could afford to buy both a Mac and a Lisa.
Trivia: I didn't know how to tie my necktie. I used to keep them pre-notted. When I was in the bathroom, all suited up, I yanked the necktie and the knot came loose! HOLY CRAP! Good thing a co-worker also had to use the facilities, and help me fix my tie. How embarrasing. I quickly learned to tie a Windsor knot a week later.

Tony Scwartz spoke at the Google headquarters in Mountain View, Californiaon 4/17/2008 as part of the Leading@google speaker series.
Tony Schwartz is the founder and president of The Energy Project http://www.theenergyproject.com/home.html. He is the co-author of "The Power of Full Engagement", which has been translated into 24 languages. Tony has written three other books, including What Really Matters: Searching for Wisdom in America. Demand is relentlessly rising. Our capacity is not keeping pace. The traditional solution to higher demand has been to invest more time. Unfortunately, time is finite, and most of us have no hours left to invest. Energy, however, can be systematically expanded --- and it can also be regularly renewed. To operate at our best, we need four energy sources: physical (quantity), emotional (quality), mental (focus), and the energy of the human spirit (purpose). This talk will focus on the role of energy in fueling sustainable high performance, and in motivating others.
