World Premiere-Anne McGinty "Ballade for Solo Flute & Band"
From our "Concert of Premieres" of May 29, 2008, the world premiere performance of "Ballade for Solo Flute and Band"-by prominent American composer Anne McGinty, performed on May 29, 2008, by the Wilson Junior High School Band of El Centro, CA, Mitch Sturman director, with soloist Kalila Lopez. Kalila is a 12 year old 7th grader at Wilson Junior High School, and has never studied privately. This was the featured work on our "Concert of Premieres" program, which also included works by local composers George E. Scott and Brooke Kofford, and Alyssa J. Robb, 17 year old composer from Colorado Springs, Colorado.(This is the second uploading, as the quality audio and video portions of the video were severly downgraded when it was uploaded the first time.)
