Attack on Nalchik on October, 13th 2005
during 9:00 up to 10:00 mornings Moscow time bigots have made an attack at once on several objects in the city of Nalchik to capital of Kabardino-Balkariya.
Bigots have fired at the airport, three police stations, military unit, a military commissariat, a building of FSB, a building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, hunting shop "Arsenal". Some objects have been taken by storm. Attempt has been undertaken to blow up a station of mobile communication of "Megaphone" company. In the city went fights, some buildings were set on fire, telecommunication was absent.
14/10/2005 the last remaining 3 points in which the insurgents and their taken hostages were kept: five were in two cabinets of a building 3-rd Department of Internal Affairs, three - in shop "Souvenir", 12 insurgents in building of GUIN. All hostages were released.
According to law enforcement sources, in that attack on objects in Nalchik participated from 80 up to 200 insurgents (the majority of them was inhabitants of Nalchik), armed by machine-guns, RPGs, and AKMs, they moved on cars by mobile groups on 5 persons. The responsibility for this incursion took the extirmist group "Kavkaz front" situated in Chechnya. This invasion was presided by so called "amir" Assadula.
The president of Kabardino-Balkaria Arsen Kanokov has declared, that in an attack to Nalchik participated about 150 extremists from radical branch of Wahhabi - Yarmuk). Law enforcement officials confirm, that the attack to Nalchik was reaction of bigots to the operation which had begun on the eve on destruction of a grouping of Islamic radicals in area of settlement Belaya Rechka, and had for an object to distract operating forces from this group and to enable those beagot group to leave. According to the documents withdrawn on that basis of bigots the action has been planned in advance, by the force of 16 attack groups consisted of 8 - 15 persons in each. In total, in that attack should have participated some 240 persons, but because of a preventive attack on bigots' base, their operation has gone out of the plan.
As the result have been eliminated 87 and 50 terrorists were detained, 12 civilians and 35 militiamen and law-enforcement officers were killed, more than 100 person were wounded (85 law enforcement officers of them).
