Namco X Capcom Comboes
I forgot about this video I recorded off my PS2 and archived in my HDD *dusts it off*
Its not a bad game, my major gripe about it is that its pacing's a little slow though.
Granted, this is not a well done tech demo at all IMO, there were a lot of misses in there.
I love the Klonoa and Guntz unit combination, its very versatile, Kos-Mos is a boss killer unit, and the main characters are quite well balanced. Strider's pretty cool too. The male ninja team with Guy and the other ninja (I think the name's Shou or something o_O) is very strong if you exploit a 2 cycle combo loop (not shown here).

Namco Arcade
We spent some time on Tuesday with Namco Bandai (or, Bandai Namco, as it is in Japan) and their assortment of games, from Afro Samurai to Eternal Sonata. Perhaps the highlight of the trip, though, was the time spent with their arcade games. I hereby declare that I now have the high Galaga score in the Namco offic. I made a tiny bit of history, at least in my brain.
I took a little footage of our time hanging out, but sadly, I couldn't get the video uploaded to my GS profile, so forgive the offsite link. But take a look as Chris Watters and Sophia Tong show me why, exactly, we need more light gun games and whack-a-mole variants.

源平討魔伝 Genpei Toumaden - NAMCO Museum Vol. 4 Promo Trailer
源平討魔伝 "Genpei Toumaden" [The Genji & The Heike Clans Defeat Demon Story] is an old NAMCO Beat/Slash-'em-Up Action Platformer in the Japanese Arcades from 1986 running on "NAMCO System 86" Arcade Software. The Game's story is an elaborated and exaggerated adaptation of 平家物語 "Heike Monogatari", or "The Tale of the Heike", which is a historical account of the struggle between two clans, the Minamoto and Taira clans in 12th Century medieval Japan in what became known as the "Genpei War". The game itself was technologically ahead of its time--both looking and sounding like an early SEGA Genesis game such as "Altered Beast". Storyline-wise, the game took a large twist on the historical account through role-reversal. Making 平景清 "Kagekiyo-no-Taira" (the main protagonist throughout the video) into the Hero, while 武蔵坊弁慶 "Saito Musashibo Benkei", 源義経 "Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune", and his older brother (as well as the game's final boss), 源頼朝 "Minamoto-no-Yoritomo". Bad guys are good, and good are bad.
The promotional trailer gives a brief introduction of Kagekiyo. Dying from a series of arrows during the Battle of Dan-no-ura, Kagekiyo is ressurected from the Underworld by Emperor Enma and Old Lady Andaba and ordered to both avenge himself and save the world by slaying Yoritomo and liberating ancient Japan from his evil grasp.
The footage itself has seen alot of "action". It was recorded with the cinematography abilities of an old "Godzilla" flick, and was later copied to "NAMCO Museum Vol. 4" as a special "Bonus, Alternate Game Introduction" by holding down L1+L2+R1+R2 when you boot the game up.
The original 5 Namco Museums for PSX were the best ones in my opinion because they went into the most depth and gave you a virtual museum to walk around in. This copy however was recorded from a partially scratched Disc. I may remaster it later--I'm very lucky to own the original five games seeing as they are quite rare nowadays.

Namco X Capcom ナムコ・クロス・カプコン:英語翻訳 Translated By DeviFoxx Ver2
In recent projects [roughly at the start of June 2007], I have been propositioned by users "supersaito" and "elnegro492003" to work with them, and "KaioShin" in a large-scale product to create an English Patched Version of the PlayStation 2 Strategy RPG "Namco X Capcom".
The main site where more information regarding this English Patch is available at:
http://transgen.awardspace.com/
Namco X Capcom (Pronounced "Namco Cross Capcom") originally released in Japan only on May 15th, 2005. Developed by Monolith Soft (a subdivision of NAMCO that is now mostly owned by Nintendo. They are responsible for creating the "Xenosaga" RPG series), but published by Namco.
It's pretty fair to assume that the game isn't going to see a release outside of Japan anytime soon. Especially considering the fact that it took the game roughly a year to hit the "Greatest Hits" title in Japan.
My former attempt at translating the intro to Namco X Capcom was noticed by Saito, and I was contacted almost immediately.
My first try at translating the song was somewhat of a bust, I felt. I didn't know too much about Japanese as a second language at the time. But since then, I've learned quite a bit.
This video is my re-translation of the Namco X Capcom theme "Subarashiki Shin Sekai" ("Magnificent New World"). You may compare it to my previous video if you like.
The intended use for this video is to reinsert it into the actual game as part of the English patch for Namco X Capcom--Hence the credits. I re-did this video as a contribution towards the team, and a show of support for the cause.
