Endless Summer Festival on Nantasket 2008
On Saturday, Sept. 20, 2008, thousands packed Nantasket Avenue in Hull to dance to bands, get their faces painted, have a whimsical temporary tattoo placed on their body, sample some of the goods from many of the area's fabulous dining establishments, visit booths of local businesses and crafters in the community, enjoy a free guided trolley tour of the town and learn about alternative energy, build sandcastles and watch the kiddies jump on a Hull fire truck and pretend they were firemen. 911 Ceremony on Nantasket Beach
A large crowd gathered at the Bernie King Pavillion along Nantasket Beach during the evening of Sept. 11 to pay tribute to those we lost during 911.
State and local officials, including members of the Hull police and fire departments, the U.S. Coast Guard, the board of selectmen and state Rep. Garrett Bradley joined hundreds from the local community, including local religious leaders, Hull Scouts, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Hull High School football team to share words, songs and a poem expressing our sadness over those we lost and our pride to be Americans. -- Cathleen Jeffrey

After donating their time to put on a show at a Toys for Tots benefit in Johnston, Rhode Island on Sunday, a few members of the South Shore Street Rods decided it was such a nice day that they took a side-trip to Nantasket Beach before heading back to their homes. -- Cathleen Jeffrey

Trip to Nantasket Beach in Massachusetts
Two days ago I took a trip to Nantasket Beach and I was told that their might be a bus that will take me from the last train ride to the beach but I didn't feel like waiting and a lady who came off the train gave me directions so I decided to walk which was a good thing because I wasn't so sure their was going to be a bus and I ended up getting some good scenery shots before I got to the beach.
I shot these clips with the Aiptek A-HD+ camcorder in it's 1440x1080 30p mode and it got converted to 1280x720 30p at around 3.8Mbps before it got uploaded to YouTube.

Nantasket Beach Band Concert Tribute to Lennie Hersch
Although the official Nantasket Beach Band Concerts won't begin until July 4th, there was a special concert by Four Men In Tuxes on Memorial Day Weekened to honor the memory of former Hull Selectman Lennie Hersch, who died earlier this year -- and was the force for many years behind bringing the concerts to Nantasket Beach.
