Clifford Lee Burton (February 10, 1962 -- September 27, 1986) was a bass guitarist, best known for his work with the heavy metal band Metallica from 1982-86.
Burton's early influence was essential in creating the unique musical style for which Metallica would later become famous. An angry, working-class sound, characterized by rhythm guitar riffs, energic lead guitar and fast driving drums, the band would be seen as innovators of heavy metal music through much of the late 80s and early 90s.
Jason Curtis Newsted (born March 4, 1963, Battle Creek, Michigan) is an American bass guitarist currently a member of Voivod and Rock Star Supernova, but is best known as a former member of the band Metallica from 1986-2001. He currently resides in Walnut Creek, California.

Jason Newsted - My Friend Of Misery (Bass Cover)
This is the solo version that Newsted played live when he was in metallica unlike the classic albums version I recorded early 2007. Not gonna be 100% exact to anything cause it's obviously all free time.
Im using old strings and the tone is what makes the 1st note appear slightly out of tune, although I can assure you my bass is in tune. Video quality sucks due to being recorded live with a webcam. New strings and a better way of recording would make this song sound a lot better, anyway thanks and enjoy!
