O´Carolan
La música de Turlough O´Carolan (compositor del que toma el nombre el grupo) es una extraña combinación de música popular irlandesa y música de cámara.
El grupo centra sus conciertos en las composiciones de este arpista irlandés, adaptándolas a la forma de componer del grupo y enriqueciéndolas con el gran abanico de instrumentos que se muestran en escena.
El grupo O´Carolan toma su nombre del arpista irlandés Turlough O´Carolan (1670 -- 1738),compositor y músico al que se le suele calificar como 'el último bardo' . La mayorÃa de los temas que componen el repertorio del grupo son composiciones de este autor, aunque también se incluyen melodÃas tradicionales de Escocia, Bretaña, Asturias...

Tune by Turlough O'Carolan in DGDGAD tuning. I've never really got on with DADGAD and was chuffed when I "discovered" this variant. I searched for as many versions as I could find to make this piece. This version was inspired by Dave Evans, William Coulter and a fantastic fast arrangement by Steve Cooney from a BBC documentary on Celtic music.

Si Bheag Si Mhor O'Carolan celtic harp tune
My arrangement was inspired by the bluebells in our local wood - where I recorded this version. The flowers are beautiful and I hope you enjoy the music.
Si Bheag Si Mhor is about a battle between two tribes of fairies - and the bluebell forest seems appropriate. I've used "bell-like" sounds in the music.
