New Oblique Penholder Available from Paper & Ink Arts
I am very pleased to announce a new oblique penholder from Paper &
Ink Arts. I was permitted to have significant input into the design and execution of this beautiful holder. The goal was to produce a penholder that would be useful `right-out-of-the-box'. The gentleman who creates these penholders is a master craftsman who was both willing and able to incorporate my suggestions into the design. The result is the fabulous penholder pictured in to link below:

I used the prototype without any adjustments for the video clip I
posted on writing large. The novice who purchases the pen will be
able to use it `as is'. Likewise, the intermediate and advanced
script writers will still be able to `tweak' the flange to their own
personal needs.
The remarkable flange is based closely on the legendary Bullock penholder by IW Bullock. Brenda (proprietor of Paper & Ink Arts) received permission to use the design, though it not an exact copy. She has been using it on her successful `Paper & Ink Arts Adjustable Oblique Holder' for quite
some time. While the flange is the same, the pen staff is not. The
flange on the new holder is now set at an angle so the nib is position in the optimal position. An extremely versatile flange it can accommodate anything from a crowquill to a Leonardt Principal to a Gillott Principality to a Gillott 303 to highly curved Spencerian No. 1 to large Spencerian No. 2.
