Philpot performing at the festival
I produced this festival for my commuity,The Band "PHILPOT" performing a new song at the Sullivan (COMMUNITY UNITY MUSIC FESTIVAL 2008)
This is the first of what maybe a monthly event, this festival is planed to bring life back to Sullivan's up-town Court House Square. PHILPOT's band members are local guys on there way to national stardom. Since 2000 Philpot has recorded three albums and written about 200 songs there latest is titled "Hates Wrights Better Than Love" there latest single just released is "OHIO". Band members have performed with Snoop Dogg, Kings of Leon, The Sick Puppies, Days of the News and Seven Mary Three. Appearances on TV show include CBS News, NBC News Fox and PBS. Organizer and producer of the music fest Thom Ready states "Were very thrilled to have talent like Philpot come and open the first of what I hope will become many more shows".

— Oui. Quand je dis je rejette l'utilisation abusive de ce mot-là c'est parce que quand c'est utilisé pour cacher ce qui s'est passé avant. Donc, de 1990 à 1994, donc une guerre, des réfugiés internes — 1 million et demi —, l'attentat contre 2 chefs d'État africains, donc tuer 2 chef d'État africains. Ça ça a commencé avant. Après, il y a eu une guerre où il y eu 4 million de morts au Congo. Alors, on ne peut pas isoler les événements d'avril à juillet 1994 et oublier le reste. C'est ça l'objectif de mon livre et ça a été toutes mes recherches depuis assez longtemps d'ailleurs. »
