Exploring The Platte River
The Platte River is one of my favorite rivers in Michigan. Even though it is not the best fishing river in Michigan, it is perfect for the family. The current is gentle, the water is pure, and the fun factor is awesome.
Now dont be fooled, there is good fishing to be had. The river and its system of inter-connecting lakes hosts brown trout, rainbow trout, steelhead, pike, salmon, pan-fish, bass, gar, perch, walleye, lake trout, and etc. This year we were too early for the salmon-run, so my brother and I focused on fly-fishing for pan-fish. And my friends, we caught them by the hordes. Granted they were small, but the action and fun-factor is to be cherished. We were purely using dry flies, and the strikes were frequent and often.
The family loves the river too. They swim and explore all day long. At the end of the trip, you find yourselves in a sea of sand dunes. There is no surprise that this is all designated NATIONAL SEA SHORE on Lake Michigan. You are right in the middle of Sleeping Bear Dunes.
The Malibu Mini X yet explores another body of water.
Great fun for all.

VILLE PLATTE WARNING
In August 2005, 3 weeks prior to Hurricain Katrina which destroyed New Orleans, I had a number of dreams I believe to be from the Lord.
In these dreams I visioned thousands of thugs and thieves walking down Main Street of Ville Platte, La. holding stick,bats,knives,guns and all sorts of weapons. They were breaking into homes and businesses stealing what they can, hurting and killing whom they would in this small city.
I told of these dreams to the congregation of our Bible study a couple weeks prior to Hurricain Katrina.
I warned these people that we would see a flood of crime in Ville Platte. After the Hurricain we had many people move into this town and the crime rate has quadtrupeled I believe since then, 2 years later.
I believe it is a judgement to the congregants of this City. They are warned to repent from their iniquities. The people are a religious people, but their religion is an abomination unto God. They must repent and surrender unto the LORDSHIP OF JESUS CHRIST.
If not this city will become unlivable to the common people of Ville Platte, La.
