Pound scoprì -- scavalcando Marx nell'indagine sul capitalismo -- che il denaro
è di chi lo emette perché, con tale funzione, lo addebita allo Stato ed ai cittadini.
Concessione deputata dallo stato da 3 secoli (fondazione della Banca d'Inghilterra,
1696), con rinuncia alla sovranità monetaria. Debito dei cittadini per titolo (il
denaro) che appartiene a loro, con aggiunta del "tasso", stabilito da banche e non
dal governo statale. Osservazione da Pound manifestata a Mussolini il 3 gennaio
1933, al quale il Poeta indicò il sistema di "non far pagare le tasse ai cittadini,
tassando il denaro alla Banca Centrale al momento dell'emissione", in luogo di
bollo virtuale riscosso in misura simbolica. Il Duce fu stupefatto; raccolse
definitivamente le indicazioni poundiane il 23 maggio 1943, ma dopo due mesi la
catastrofe italiana vanificò l'applicazione del suggerimento. [MONETA ED USURA SECONDO EZRA POUND ]
