GingerDave - Primeval
Mostly done using East West libraries. There's a few odd noises like the Predator's sonar and the droning. Those are just GM Midis run through my behringer desk, EQ'd.
The piece goes through a few different flavours every minute or so, this is due to hardware limitations. Every minute my cpu wouldn't be able to channel all the sample data so i had to break it up.
The piece is mostly inspired by Mark Snow, particularly his work on The X-Files and MillenniuM, as well as Elliot Goldenthall and Alien3. Last stand off with the Predator originally sounded far better with really nice arpeggios, flowed beautifully but the sequencer i was using turned on me and corrupted that file. As a result i rushed the orchestral parts - if i'd had more time and wasn't so tired i'd have been a little more adventurous than C Melodic Minor and C Major.
