Gazans clash with Egyptian police at Rafah - 22 Jan 08
Shots have been fired at the Rafah crossing where Palestinians have been demanding that the crossing into Egypt be opened to ease the blockade imposed on the territory by Israel.
Several police were injured in the skirmishes, as well as protesters.
Gaza has been under lockdown for five days now, although the blockade was eased earlier when Israel allowed a fuel shipment through.

Palestinians set off explosives along the concrete fence that divided Palestinian and Egyptian Rafah on Tuesday night, tearing large holes and destroying the concrete wall erected by Israel, in order to facilitate the entry of hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from Gaza into Egypt. Israeli missile attacks nonviolent march in Rafah, Gaza
The Israeli Military carried out a military incursion into the Tel Al Sultan refugee camp, Rafah, the Gaza Strip in May 2004. A demonstration marched to this area of Rafah and was fired at with rockets from a US-made Apache helicopter. Fourteen people were killed and many more seriously injured.
