Gordon James Ramsay, OBE (born November 8, 1966 in Johnstone, Scotland) is a British celebrity chef, television personality and entrepreneur. He has been awarded a total of twelve Michelin stars, and is currently one of only three chefs in the UK whose restaurant is rated at three Michelin stars. He is famous in the UK for presenting TV programmes about competitive cookery and food such as Hell's Kitchen and The F-Word. He is best known in the United States as the host of FOX's Hell's Kitchen, which premiered in May 2005, and of Kitchen Nightmares, which premiered in September 2007, based on his successful British show Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares.

Surprise Judge Gordon Ramsay visits Rachael Ray
Rachael presents Angie and Pete with their final cooking challenge: each will have 30 minutes to create a gourmet, high-end recipe for a very special celebrity chef -- Hell's Kitchen's Gordon Ramsay! The no-nonsense chef explains what he's looking for in their meals. "First of all, vision, imagination, and more importantly, flavor," he says. "Presentation is crucial, but for me, I want to go home thinking about the flavor, the memory of that flavor. Don't go mad, keep it exciting, keep it vibrant but more importantly, let it roll. Don't consolidate too early, and move with it -- let it grow over the half an hour."
The contestants are in for another shock when Rachael reveals the star ingredient that they must use in their dishes -- hot dogs! Angie, winner of the kabob memory challenge, choses deli-style beef franks and assigns Pete low-fat turkey franks. Then, it's off to the kitchen to get cooking!
