This video is part of a gift to my Father Romulo Dacoco for Father's Day 2007.
The original video footage was a series of family photos arraigned to music by my brother Pierre Dacoco. I believe he made it for Papa originally, but when we met in 2004 he gave me a copy to take home with me.
The vocal track is sampled from a recording my Father gave to me when I was about 7 years old. I have kept the original tape with me ever since.
Video and audio remix was done by me, using Adobe Primer and Abelton Live.
The song is called "Your Song."
"Your Song" is a ballad composed & performed by musician Elton John. The song's lyrics were written by Bernie Taupin. It appeared on his self-titled second album in 1970.
It was released in the US in October 1970 as the B-side to "Take Me to the Pilot". Rómulo Triveño Inauguro Reservorio de Agua Potable para el D

La población del distrito de San Clemente, mostró su beneplácito y agradecimiento al Presidente Regional Rómulo Triveño, quien cumple su promesa de campaña de solucionarles el problema de la escasez de agua, que por más de ocho años venían padeciendo. Hoy el pueblo sale a las calles con sus autoridades para inaugurar la importante obra Mejoramiento integral del Sistema de Agua Potable para San Clemente, obra que permitirá el desarrollo y bienestar de las familias San Clementinas.
El Presidente Regional Rómulo Triveño acompañado del Alcalde de San Clemente, Cleto Rojas; el Consejero Regional de Pisco, Luis Falconí Hernández; Funcionarios del Gobierno Regional y del Estado, junto al pueblo recorrieron las calles del populoso distrito, hasta llegar inicialmente donde está instalada la cámara de bombeo, donde se encuentra una cisterna y motores de impulsación para derivar el agua hasta el imponente reservorio construido de 1,200 mt2, que sustituye el viejo de solo 50 mt2.
Esta cámara de bombeo tuvo como madrina a una pobladora San Clementina, que rompió el champagne de estilo con el Presidente Regional, quien frente al panel de control electrónico puso en marcha los motores, iniciando así una nueva y mejor etapa para la vida de las familias de este distrito que solo tenían agua 2 horas cada dos días.
Luego, la Comitiva contagiada de alegría siguió su caminata ahora, con dirección al monumental reservorio, que se muestra esplendoroso y que representa un icono de progreso y avance para éste pueblo.
Cientos de pobladores se sintieron gratamente complacidos con el acto y participaron de la rotura de champagne y develación de la placa de la obra.
