Single transistor class-E SSTC
Single transistor (IRF740) class-E interrupted SSTC. Max ground strikes around 25cm (10 inches). Maybe 20W of power with about 200VDC supply. Duty cycle relatively long but low break rate. Fuse blows in the end for some reason. Not a good way to run a SSTC but seems to be working to some extent. My MOSFET is a weak one. Should use a stronger one like IRFP460.

I feel the spark through the fluorescent like somewhat strong static zap. It's not too bad if you're prepared.
Resonant frequency is about 140kHz
Camera seems to be having small focusing issues.
Low power CW lights up large fluorecents nicely.
