Savor the Moment

Friday was the 40th anniversary of the death of Robert F. Kennedy. Had he lived, he would be 82 now.
It's impossible to gauge the what-ifs of history. But nevertheless, I wonder what Kennedy, a complicated man with a profound sense of the moral issues at play in politics, would have made of the idea that Barack Obama has captured the Democratic Party's nomination for president.
He might not have been surprised. Kennedy had been accused of dreaming when he said in the early 1960s that a black person could get elected president in the next 40 years.
The fact that even a dreamer could imagine nothing shorter than a 40-year timeline gives us a glimpse of the nightmarish depths of racial oppression that people of goodwill have had to fight.
The United States in 1968 (the same year in which the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated) was a stunningly different place from the country we know now, so different that most of today's young people would have trouble imagining it. The notion in '68 that a black person — or a woman — might have a serious shot at the presidency would have been widely viewed as lunacy.

Vision, Hearing, Taste, Smell, and Touch
i want to make an impact. something that is in your face. something that makes people wonders and left tingling sensations afterwards. but what? what is this that i'm dying to get across to people? my own beliefs? my philosophy in life? what is this i'm trying to convey? what is this im trying to potray and be perceived?
the answer is nothing.
life is empty. life is surrounded by beautiful, pretty, significant, memorable events and subjects and objects. life is empty without the joy of knowing yourself. life is empty without learning how to appreciate others sincerely and the indulgent you find when you share compassions and affection not forgetting care, love and of all things... your trueth colors.
if ive done something that has offended people, i want to say sorry as i did not mean any harm. if i blurted things that pierces deep, again please accept my apology as i did not have any intentions.
i love to know the people that have crosses their path to me; genuinely. i desire to accept things just as they truly are. after all we all have the same ending. hence i want to savor every little thing as deeply as i can. for this i ask of your time and patience.
and lastly thank you so very much. for the memories, the laughter, the tears, the hurt, the pain, the love, the care, the shoulders, the embraces, the kisses, the holding hands, the time we spent seeping our coffees. the time we dance, the time we lays, the time we shouts/screams, the fights, the dramas, the gossips, the many walks, the texts, the lil hellos, the lil 'how are you's, the goodbyes, the farewells, the exchanging stories, the time u take a glance at me. the affections, and your will to get to know me and opening up to me...
everything. everything. everything....
i treasure each of them no matter how big nor small they all matter nevertheless to me and forever will be stored inside of the deepest ground of my heart.
