holland .In april 2002 presenteert de Paulus Schäfer Gipsy Band hun debuut cd 'Into the Light'. Dit is tevens het startsein voor een reeks succesvolle concerten in binnen- en buitenland. Zowel op het album als op het podium neemt Jozua Rosenberg dan nog de baspartijen voor zijn rekening.
Het album 'Into the Light', is door de Paulus Schäfer Gipsy Band opgedragen aan de heer Wasso Grünholz, die een hele generatie jonge Sinti stimuleerde gitaar te spelen waaronder Stochelo Rosenberg van het Rosenberg Trio. Het repertoire van Paulus Schäfer Gipsy Band wordt bepaald door gipsy swing/ gipsy jazz met als belangrijkste oriëntatie- en inspiratiebron de Hot Club de France van de alom bekende en gerenommeerde Django Reinhardt die de grondlegger is van dit genre en door vele Sinti-muzikanten wordt gezien als hun voorbeeld. Veel Sinti-muzikanten zijn auditief en autodidact en weten door veel oefening een geweldige virtuositeit te ontwikkelen zoals ook bij Paulus Schäfer Gipsy Band het geval is.
