Love in the Desert Smoothie
Its fun to make smoothies where each ingredient comes from the same bio-region.
This consists of three elements,
Aloe Vera Leaf,
Prickly Pear Cactus Fruit
Agave Nectar (or Desert Honey)
Blend desired quantities together for a lovely and refreshing pink smoothie.
If the seeds bother you, run it through a strainer or nut milk bag. I LOVE this smoothie...and its so good for beauty. Just think if you consume one large aloe vera leaf consistently every day.
Forget about topical...get it INSIDE you.

Coral Reefs in Nightvision ~
My regular viewers already know how much I adore Nature. Recently I had the opportunity to explore one of the planet's greatest coral reefs. I can't tell you how appreciative I was and how exciting to find out all the varieties of life there is in this bio-region.

Bioregional Food Production
Sustainable Cascadia recently hosted an event on the bioregion called The Cascadia Convergence. Part of the event involved asking participants to "Tell A Vision" of the Cascadia they imagine. People from throughout the zone came together at Seattle Center, including this woman working with Puget Sound Fresh, talking about local food systems.
