1960年代後半から70年代にかけて、世界は新しい価値を求めて大きく動いていた。
熱い時代だった。
つまらない演奏をすると、「金返せ」のブーイング、ビールの缶や一升瓶が客席から飛んできた時代だ。
関西では、京大西部講堂を中心に、音楽や舞踏、演劇、詩などが積極的にコラボを展開し、様々な垣根を壊し新しい価値を模索した。
その渦の中で、フリージャズの一角を担っていた、日野明（晃）。
集合即興演奏こそが、生の音だとフリーなジャズを模索した。
30年前、アルトサックスの故阿部薫の最後のツアーになった北海道。
「こんな牧場に客は来るのか」と心配した帯広。
阿部薫がギターを持ち出し、客に背を向け３人で向き合って演奏した釧路。
演奏の事で喧嘩をした札幌。
今となっては、いい思い出だ。
山下洋輔トリオと初めてジョイントした京大西部講堂。
坂田明さんが「こいつはスーパーマンか」と打ち上げの時に唸ってくれた。
ベースの重鎮故吉沢元治さんは、私の熊野の道場建設を１年間も手伝ってくれた。
作業が終わり、毎夜のジャムセッションは、熱く熱く朝まで冷めなかった。
しかし、即興演奏や集合即興に様々な疑問が湧き、グループからソロに転じ活動をしていたが、 25年前、このままではこれ以上自分の音楽が深くならないと感じ、スティックをおいた。
何度コンサートの時に喧嘩をしてきたことか。
「本気で」だけしか受け付けなかったからだ。
共演者との妥協もなかったからだ。
そこで付いたあだ名が「つぶしのアキラ」だった。
それは、今でも変わらない。
おかしいものはおかしい、だから筋を通す、すると壊れる。
1970年代熱い熱い時代を突っ走ってきた。
そんな私も来年は６０歳、還暦だ。
物分りの良い団塊ではない、円くなった団塊ではない、説教をたれるだけの団塊ではない。
第二の人生などと、ほざく団塊ではない。
生まれてから今日まで、明日も、死ぬまで現役の団塊だ。
思いっきり尖がっている団塊だ。
ここにきて、やっと音が変わった！
25年かかった！
１時間、たった一人で叩きまくる！
客に迎合する音は、未だ出したことが無い。

Geki Ryu Budo Kyusho 1

Trevor Robinson (Shihan 7th Dan) of the Geki Ryu Dojo, Barrow in furness, Cumbria England.
Has Been Training in the Martial arts for 34 years, In that time he has Studied Russian Systema (since 1998,).Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (1983-2008)Boxing, Shukokai Karate (1979-83),Judo, Aikido, Aki-jutsu, and Sambo,
The Techniques within are taken form several arts and are what I consider to be good for self defence, There are no Bujinkan Ryu-ha Kata in there only basics so it is not a video of how I conduct Lessons it is a self defence video.
There are also Russian Systema Basics in there but I am not using Systema movement either as this is different to Bujinkan movement so I am using the basics in Bujinkan movement so as not to confuse people.
Never train With a real knife, In training use a plastic knife such as a "cold steel CAT Tanto" as here or a wooden knife. Be careful
Rubber knifes are useless and should not be used as you cannot use proper disarms with them.
I would like to Thank my partner and Student Rob Jackson 3rd Dan for helping with the videos, We filmed Knife 2-3 Gun1 (to come) and the Kyusho vids in two hours without a break and shot over 127 techniques! He was very sore afterwards but never complained once! This is Martial Arts! You're a star Rob!
Lastly avoid conflict whenever possible, live a long life of peace, and be nice to each other.
Budo means to stop a fight not to start one.
