The Champ is one of the most recognisable and successful Superstars in WWE history, and a movie star and bona fide hip-hop star to boot.
WWE Superstar, John Cena, has lived up to his name The Champ as three-time WWE Champion, three-time United States Champion, and two-time World Tag Team Champion.
A WWE fan since childhood, he never considered a career in sports entertainment. Instead he flew to California in 2000 to pursue a profession in bodybuilding. Working behind the counter of a gym there, a discussion with a wrestler-in-training encouraged John to enrol in classes at Ultimate Pro Wrestling. Instantly hooked, he learnt everything he could about his newfound craft and within a year, World Wrestling Entertainment signed him to a developmental contract. By June 2002, hed joined the SmackDown roster, and less than a year later headlined the first of what has since become countless main-event matches.
John gained movie star status in the lead role of the 2006 hit movie The Marine, and will hit the big screen again next year in the film 12 Rounds. A hip-hop musician, his hit album You Cant See Me, peaked at 15 on The Billboard 200 Chart.
