FEMA Coffin Round Up: Get Ready to Die! ☠☠☠
Well, apparently the Government is expecting a Half Million people to die relatively soon, and the Atlanta Airport is a major airline traffic hub, probably the biggest in the country, which means Georgia is a prime base to conduct military operations and coordination.
It is also the home of the CDC, the Center for Disease Control. I don't want to alarm anyone, but usually you don't buy 500,000 plastic coffins "just in case something happens," you buy them because you know something is going to happen. These air tight seal containers would be perfect to bury victims of plague or biological warfare in, wouldn't they?
A rebuttal:
As the office Rants & Raves Licensed funeral director, I must say the article is wrong.
What the government bought is called a "grave liner" and it is used in every national cemetery such as Calverton, located on the east end of long island in the town of riverhead. The reason for purchasing so many: the VA operate's alot of it's own cemeteries. Buying 500,000 is yet another example of a government contract a manufacturer is going to bid on this year. This is not a casket. The casket still must be purchased from the funeral home the deceased's family chooses to select. The grave liner is placed in the ground first, then the deceased's casketed remains are placed inside of that. The plastic grave liner supports the weight of the earth on top of the casket and will save the cemetery workers from having to go back to the gravesite and "back fill" the grave with more earth following the burial. Along with a free grave and upright headstone or grave marker that is flush with the earth, the VA cemeteries offer this device to all Honorably Discharged Veterans, their spouses, and minor dependant children. At the national cemetery, the family also receieves an honor guard, playing of taps, and a folding of the flag and presentation to the nearest of kin. It's the very least the government can do for it's people. I see alot of DD-214's and you know you get those ones that say like "machinist - 1st class fort dix" then you know , you see ones that say this: "pacific theater, 1st sergeant, rifle platoon" and u say shit that guy saw some crazy shit all for this country.

Opening a Roman Coffin
A remarkable Roman burial has been found at Boscombe Down, Wiltshire, UK. When we lifted the lid off a three tonne stone coffin we were surprised to discover that the coffin had not filled with soil.
Instead, we found ourselves looking down on the skeleton of a woman who was cradling a young child in her arms.
