UNICEF: Myanmar water threatened by arsenic contamination
The village of Zin Pyun Gon, nestled in Myanmar's Ayeyarwaddy Delta, appears idyllic in at first glance. But the water that gives this community life also presents a serious threat to its health. While the water looks clean and tastes good, it actually contains arsenic, which over time can cause of range of serious health ailments. Fortunately, this situation is being addressed in Myanmar by UNICEF and its health and water counterparts.

Dragon Cement-Plausible Private Well Water Contamination.
It is highly probable and logical due to other tests which indicated presence of contaminates that Dragon would then be responsible for contribution of contaminates and or toxic elements being deposited into the Aquifers and transported via that route to Private Well Water sources for many residents of several towns behind Dragon's property boundaries from the piles of manufacturing waste and other plant emission sources. Please see the Town of Thomaston's Land Use Ordinance: http://town.thomaston.me.us/ Once there, click on "DOC" not PDF, and look for Article II Section 716.14 "Water Quality". (According to a former employee)It was mentioned to me there was "burying" of 55 gallon drums which "may" have "contained some kind of chemical" So I was informed in 2004 or 2005. This individual (who has asked me not to identify him)told me that an "older, retired, employee working at night was a witness to the dumping of dozens if not hundreds of these 55 gallon drums which were believed to have contained waste chemicals." I was shocked with what I had just heard, and then asked him where they may have been dumped? I was told by this individual that from what was known " The drums were either dumped in the CKD quarry or the "other" quarry behind the plant."
At that point in time I was unaware the CKD pile was actually sitting deep (possibly over 120 feet deep)in an unlined quarry. That was an eye-opener, and it is reasonable to conclude from what was described to me by this individual (I do know this person)that there was no reason to be fabricating what I was told. In fact, this individual mentioned that "there are a lot of other things which would take place at night time which no one really knows about." That aspect of this facility is very disturbing. Especially IF these containers were deliberately dumped in order to avoid appropriate/safe disposal which is known to be costly.
From what I have personally seen, video taped, photographed (like the Yellow Leachate oozing down the front side of a rock face just forward of the "clinker storage shed", and Dragon's "environmental management" pretending they were not aware of it, or ignoring it (when they work right in front of where I took the photo), is just another indication that there is more likely than not, [other] "instances" similar which they have knowledge about, and don't want anyone else to find out.
If there is anyone who has information regarding the improper disposal of chemical waste, or any other "waste" products, I would kindly ask that you do what is right and inform me via a comment on this specific video. Should this actually be found to be true, which I would be surprised to find otherwise, the only realistic way to prove the existance of such activity would be to completely EXCAVATE the CKD pile, and then LINE it, like the EPA recommends anyway.
Another common sense proposal is to drill a CENTRAL HOLE to the very BOTTOM of the quarry in which the CKD is sitting and TEST the substance at the center bottom which could be related to a "BULLS EYE". I am very familiar with water testing, as I WORKED IN A WATER CONTROL LABORATORY, COLLECTING AND TESTING WATER SAMPLES.
The surrounding "test wells" aren't enough. These "test wells" don't indicate whether any contamination is reaching private residential well water BEFORE it is FILTERED and exiting the tap where most people take thier samples from to have tested. The well water SHOULD BE TESTED PRE-FILTRATION as the carbon in the filters only absorb so much of the harmful contaminants and once the carbon has reached it's effective use, the contaminates merely pass right over the toxic filled carbon particles.
Therefore, I highly recommended that Well Water users mark the install date, and frequently check your carbon/sediment water filters and keep them up to date. That is extremely important for your health, and especially for developing children and pregnant women, if you drink the water out of your tap or even use it for cooking purposes. Mercury, and lead along with other toxic elements do not "boil" out of your water. Certain elements like these are extremely harmful even in very tiny amounts. They accumulate in the human body, over time, leading to multiple health issues according to well documented studies.
I highly respect the privacy of individuals, and would never identify anyone against their will. Identification would only be made upon written approval of the informing party.
Your cooperation would benefit people who do not have public water supply and who only have wells to supply their homes with water. It would also, obviously, benefit the environment and the diverse wildlife here, and quite possibly for miles from this location.
Your help would be deeply appreciated, and it would be the right thing to do.

Hazards of Depleted Uranium Contamination Training DU Video
Hazards of Depleted Uranium Contamination Training Video; Between October and December 1995, the U.S. Army's Depleted Uranium (DU) Project completed a series of training videos and manuals about depleted uranium munitions. This training regimen was developed as the result of recommendations made in the January 1993 General Accounting Office (GAO) report, Army Not Adequately Prepared to Deal with Depleted Uranium Contamination. The training materials were intended to instruct servicemen and women about the use and hazards of depleted uranium munitions. In addition, the training regimen included instructions for soldiers who repair and recover vehicles contaminated by depleted uranium. Metallic uranium (U) is a silver-white, lustrous, dense, weakly radioactive element. It is ubiquitous throughout the natural environment, and is found in varying but small amounts in rocks, soils, water, air, plants, animals and in all human beings. Natural uranium consists of a mixture of three radioactive isotopes which are identified by the mass numbers 238U (99.27% by mass), 235U (0.72%) and 234U (0.0054%). On average, approximately 90 µg (micrograms) of uranium exists in the human body from normal intakes of water, food and air. About 66% is found in the skeleton, 16% in the liver, 8% in the kidneys and 10% in other tissues. Uranium is used primarily in nuclear power plants. However, most reactors require uranium in which the 235U content is enriched from 0.72% to about 1.5-3%. Depleted uranium: The uranium remaining after removal of the enriched fraction contains about 99.8% 238U, 0.2% 235U and 0.001% 234U by mass; this is referred to as depleted uranium or DU. The main difference between DU and natural uranium is that the former contains at least three times less 235U than the latter. DU, consequently, is weakly radioactive and a radiation dose from it would be about 60% of that from purified natural uranium with the same mass. The behaviour of DU in the body is identical to that of natural uranium. Spent uranium fuel from nuclear reactors is sometimes reprocessed in plants for natural uranium enrichment. Some reactor-created radioisotopes can consequently contaminate the reprocessing equipment and the DU. Under these conditions another uranium isotope, 236U, may be present in the DU together with very small amounts of the transuranic elements plutonium, americium and neptunium and the fission product technetium-99. However, the additional radiation dose following intake of DU into the human body from these isotopes would be less than 1%. Applications of depleted uranium: Due to its high density, about twice that of lead, the main civilian uses of DU include counterweights in aircraft, radiation shields in medical radiation therapy machines and containers for the transport of radioactive materials. The military uses DU for defensive armour plate. DU is used in armour penetrating military ordnance because of its high density, and also because DU can ignite on impact if the temperature exceeds 600°C. Public Domain video.

Trivium - Contempt Breeds Contamination [Studio Version]
Mistaken Identity
You really got this one wrong
Racially singled out
He must have a gun
And yet
You get
Off with
No time
How can this be the answer?
No crime yet they shot away
He now lies dead the
Blood is on your hands
Hands which were supposed to protect
People like the man you blew away
This isn't justice
This is corruption
The four protecters
Fired 41 shots
Hitting him 19 times
Searching the body
There were no weapons found
He lies with all who died in vain
But there must still be a crime
When our inherent freedom
Is equally cut down
By who we trust
And yet
You get
Off with
No time
How can this be the answer?
No crime yet they shot away
He now lies dead the
Blood is on your hands
Hands which were supposed to protect
People like the man you blew away

Hitting him 19 times
Searching the body
There were no weapons found
He lies with all who died in vain
Contempt breeds contamination
Contempt breeds contamination
Contempt breeds contamination
How can this be the answer?
No crying in the shadow way
Realise that the

Hands which were supposed to protect
People like the man you blew away

Michael Dorn reads from Contamination
As it turns out Michael Dorn is not only an excellent actor, but a masterful impersonator of voices.
This video consists of a few excerpts from the Star Trek TNG audio book "Contamination" and I threw in some pictures too for lulz.
