Bigfoot Body Revealed to Be Halloween Costume

Last week's excitement over a supposed Bigfoot body, which culminated Friday in a circus-like press conference in Palo Alto, Calif., collapsed like a wet soufflé Sunday as an independent investigator determined it was all fake.
SearchingforBigfoot.com owner Tom Biscardi had paid an "undisclosed sum" — Internet rumors put it at $50,000 — to Georgia residents Matthew Whitton and Rick Dyer for their frozen "corpse" and the privilege of trotting them, but not the body, out in front of TV cameras.
At the same time, Biscardi sent self-described "Sasquatch detective" Steve Kulls to a secret location — apparently Muncie, Ind. — to check out the specimen.
Kulls, it's safe to say, was severely disappointed.
The upshot? Bigfoot, once found, is now again missing. So are Whitton, Dyer and Biscardi's money.

The kingpin hoaxer of the "Georgia bigfoot body" -- Biscardi -- will, thankfully, never be taken seriously by the press ever again. But today he and his long-time associate, Steve Kulls (the "Sasquatch Detective" -- Kulls is a former shopping mall security guard), are making another ludicrous attempt to regain the media spotlight.
After Biscardi was publicly busted and humiliated in 2005 for a different version of a bigfoot body hoax, he claimed he was "hoodwinked" by some bad people who had deceived him (all the while he was raking in money from a phony pay-per-view "surveillance" project).
As of today, August 20, 2008, Biscardi is trying to get back on Fox News ... in order to emotionally announce that he was "hoodwinked" ... again ...
Today Biscardi claims he is "planning to take legal action against Whitton and Dyer" ... in a futile attempt to forestall legal action against himself, by prosecutors, for fraud.
Our humble plea to Fox News and CNN: Please do not put this train wreck Biscardi back on live television unless it is in the context of him being arrested for this whole scam.
Note to Prosecutors: Steve Kulls is not "independent" of Biscardi. He is one of the co-conspirators in this scam. He's a long-time member of Biscardi's own gang, and was even credited by Biscardi during the press conference for helping to bring forward this "discovery". This hoax was debunked last week by the BFRO, a few days before the press conference. Kulls is now trying to help himself (and the rest of Biscardi's gang -- SearchingForBigoot, Inc.), from being named as a defendant in this case, by casting himself as "the independant investigator who uncovered the hoax." This is an ongoing hoax/scam, and Kulls is part of it.
Biscardi didn't start this hoax, but instead latched onto to it once it was presented to him by his partner Steve Kulls. Lots of people make ludicrous claims like Whitton and Dyer did (and like Biscardi has done in the past more than once). The element that made this hoax attractive for Biscardi was that Whitton is a sheriff deputy. Biscardi knew this would help the story appear more believeable to the media, for a little while at least.
Whitton and Dyer have now disappeared, and soon Biscardi and Kulls will disappear as well, along with whatever Biscardi was able to rake in from gullible customers around the world since his announcement of the "discovery."
Warrants need to be issued immediately before Biscardi leaves the country. Santa Clara County, California, (where the press conference was held) clearly has jurisdiction to issue the warrants, and all the elements of fraud are present. For a while after the press conference, at the height of the Internet storm of curiousity, Biscardi was trying to charge $2 to see the photos of the fake body. Millions of people around the world wanted to see the photos, and Biscardi may have raked in a tidy sum while the world was being urged to "wait and see"...
The multi-state nature of this case will eventually push it into federal court, but the investigation can begin in Santa Clara County.
