Metallica Covers
Metallica Covers - To celebrate Metallica's upcoming 9th studio album's release entitled "Death Magnetic", the band has set up a "Metallica YouTube Channel" where fans can dazzle the band with their own versions of classic Metallica songs. I discovered this from watching the "Lars Ulrich of Metallica Thanks YouTube Fans" video where Lars responded to these "Metallica cover songs".
In this video I cover everything from "Enter Sandman" to One to "For Whom The Bell Tolls" to "Welcome Home (Sanitarium)" and Battery. I did use tablature once, well, a few times. Also had to look at lyrics and tab. So far I have yet to learn "The Day That Never Comes" or "My Apocalypse", but those are coming down the road. Would also love to find Cyanide guitar tab, "The Judas Kiss" tab, "That Was Just Your Life", "The End Of The Line", "Broken, Beat & Scarred", especially "All Nightmare Long" all by Metallica. I haven't heard "Unforgiven III" yet or "Unforgiven 3" or "Suicide And Redemption" but they come out September 11th or 12th. Next on my tab list is to learn "Nothing Else Matters" "King Nothing", "Master Of Puppets" "Orion", "St Anger", "The Unforgiven", "Wherever I Am Roam", "The Shortest Straw", "Whisky In The Jar" and "The Call Of Ktulu". Can't wait it's going to be brutal.

Ben says that he forgot that he was supposed to be on Like a Version and "had to cover a popular song, and turned on my ipod and this was the most recently listened to song and found some drummers in the studio" (11/5/06 in Columbia, MO).... and tada, here we are. On the spot first time thing. Check how he's doing it now on other videos.
