The AMVApp.exe makes it easy. It should install VirtualDub Mod, AviSynth, and bunch of different filters.
Visit their site and guide for more indepth tutorial on how to make your video prettier - but for our purposes - the raw is almost always "good enough" for the general public and there's nothing more you need to do.

You can always edit the .AVS (AviSynth file) to add filters and stuff - this is the settings I used in the past.
If your raw is 120fps, you have to whack some frames:
Decimate(2).Decimate(2).Decimate(5)
deen("a2d",4,9,11)
FluxSmoothT()
ssxsharpen()
colorYUV(gain_u=15)
tweak(sat=1.2)
