Forensic Accounting Professor Urges Students: "Take all your personal data off Facebook"
College students are at great risk for identity theft and fraud by posting personal information to Facebook, says James Bierstaker, an expert in identity theft and forensic accounting at the Villanova School of Business.
He urges his students to take "all your personal information off of Facebook."
I interviewed him yesterday on the snowy campus of Villanova, on the outskirts of Philadelphia.
Although Facebook has taken steps to stop the controversial "Beacon" program of sharing data with marketers, there is a great deal of public information that can be shared and used for fraud, Professor Bierstaker told me in this interview.

Forensic Entomology Case
This was for our chem project... not the best quality, but what can I say? We filmed for three hours, and the video camera my friend had wasn't compatible with my laptop. So we ended up hooking hers up to her widescreen t.v. and recording the t.v. with my little Point and Shoot video camera (we then finished later). So forgive the poor quality.

- "Eddie and Keela, two of the most famous dog detectives in Europe used to work for South Yorkshire Police. Eddie and Keela are highly skilled sniffer dogs - technically known as victim recovery dogs - who search for and locate human remains. Owner Martin Grimes demonstrates how he trains them by hiding a jar of sand containing the remains of a corpse that was buried one hundred years ago. Eddie successfully finds the scent within minutes. Keela is trained to find blood traces on murder weapons which have been wiped clean, as well as the scent from decomposing bodies. Because of their skills, both dogs have been called into two of the highest profile investigations of the past year. Martin Grimes tells Send in the Dogs how he, Keela and Eddie flew out to Portugal to try to find clues about what might have happened to Madeleine McCann. And more recently, both dogs have spent months in Jersey at the Haut de la Garenne looking for human remains."

Entomología forense - Forensic entomology
El menachil FILMS vuelve a la carga, esta vez con un corto-documental sobre entomología forense. En él se observan una serie de imágenes y tomas captadas por la cámara de Cancho, que vienen a resumir el proceso por el cual los distintos insectos colonizan un cadáver, en este caso el de un lechón que murió a los pocos días de nacer. Con esta grabación, Cancho nos vuelve a demostrar que cine e insectos SÍ son compatibles. Y es que en su anterior trabajo, No money no life (disponible en Youtube), nos demuestra que las orugas aprecian el dinero tanto o más que muchos seres humanos.
