Garrison Keillor spins a Halloween Yarn of Lake Wobegon
One of the finest storytellers and Monologists of our time, Garrison Keillor is a master of wit, cadence, precision and humanity as he comfortably and effortlessly relates a tale of his fictional home town, Lake Wobegon, MN.
This monologue was enjoyed and captured live from the audience at the 2005 Halloween performance of A Prairie Home Companion in Saint Paul Minnesota at the famed Fitzgerald theater.
Truely timeless, GK is without question a National Treasure.

'Fantastic Fermanagh' (Garrison remix)
Garrison (An GarastĂșn in Irish) is a small village in County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, 5 miles south of Belleek, at the eastern end of Lough Melvin
'Fantastic Fermanagh' is a song written by Garrison born John Farry to celebrate County Fermanagh reaching the Ulster GAA Final. The BBC commentator featured on the video, Mr Gerry Treacy is also from the village of Garrison. The very important person and head of Fermanagh GAA, Mr Peter Carty is from Garrison. The Fermanagh team is also sponsored by Garrison born Patsy Tracey from Tracey Concrete. It is said that Fr. Brian Darcy who prays in the video used to get all his petrol from Treacy's Garage in Garrison. The talented songwriter John Farry is best known for writing the Irish entry 'Mysterious Woman' for the 1997 Eurovision Song Contest. One of his earliest compositions, 'Lough Melvin's Rocky Shore' became a hit for the Donegal star, Daniel O'Donnell is also written about a lake outside Garrison.
The songtrack of the video above comes from "Sweet Home Alabama" originally performed by Southern US rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd. It first appeared in 1974 on their second album, Second Helping. The guitar used on the track was a 1972 Fender Stratocaster. It was written as an answer to two songs, "Southern Man" and "Alabama" by Neil Young, which attacked the South as racist.
Note* We need to get this video 100,000 hits by the Ulster Final on Sunday 20th July 2008. Please leave comments!
