Neil Hendriks was born March 13th, 1990 in Haarlem, the Netherlands. He has three older brothers (Steve, Roy and Jim) and one younger brother (Nick). He also has two younger sisters named Jane and Eve. His parents are Ben and Agnes.5). He currently lives in a small town called Wildervank.
When he was 15, he was a contestant on Idols 3. His brothers also auditioned, but they didn't get in. Neil made it to the theatre rounds.
When he heard about Idols 4, he signed himself up with his brother Jim and auditioned. The judges noticed he'd gotten better. He made it through the theatre rounds and ended up with the last 18. The audience at home made him one of the 10 contestants to go straight to next week's live-shows. The judges picked 2 more and Neil became one of the 12 finalists. February 9th, on the Love theme night, the public sent him home. He made it to the final 5
