Hot or Not has sold for over $20 million dollars to the Canadian company Avid Life Media. The original cofounders, James Hong and Jim Young are stepping down after the acquisition and will no longer be involved with the web phenomena they had originally created in 2000 as a joke. When asked what he's going to do next, James Hong differentiated himself from all the Type A workaholics in Silicon Valley. Quote: "I have no problem sitting doing nothing at all." :-)

Firefox 3 is nearing completion and a new public beta is now available, fixing some security problems and speed problems in the old beta releases. I've been using this version for the better part of a day now, and it is impressive! It's fast, and has a cool new way for bookmarking your favorite sites. Well worth checking out.
