Espion at Slashdot
Espion (Hyperoctave, Orson, Serotonin) at Slashdot, Edinburgh - playing the most experimental electronic music from 1:30am til 3am, to a crowd of 450 people..
Resident at Hyperoctave and Camouflage in Glasgow's legendary Soundhaus, Espion returns to Edinburgh where he cut his teeth at clubs such as Pogo Vogue, Dogma and as a member of the Super Scientists. In more recent years Espion has been billed alongside acts such as Si Begg, The Youngsters, Ricardo Villalobos, Jakeone (Toob), Bass Junkie, Mekon, Richard Bartz, Rennie Pilgrem, Milanese and Vector Lovers.
As a producer with a string of releases on Orson records and remixes for Soma, Espion's variety of electronica has made him very accessable to many people and this week he intends to explore fully this array of styles with an extra special hour and a half set! http://www.hyperoctave.org

Espion - Petrol Bomb the F**kers video
This is the rough storyboard for the track 'Petrol Bomb the Fuckers' by Espion (Orson Records/Hyperoctave).
The story is based on Akira. The main character wakes up in a laboratory and attempts to escape and discovers that he has supernatural powers to evade capture. The army are send in to stop the threat, but all efforts to stop him backfire and are reflected back onto them, with dire consequences.
The EP, featuring the Espion track, plus remix from Point B will be released on Bass4bots Records in 2008.

Thanks to my friend Mattis for letting me borrow the drum kit. Also thanks to the person letting me use her piano, but she didn't want her name here :P
And now; to you people saying I'm ripping off Michel Gondry: I've seen his video with the drumkit called "Drumb and Drumber". It's here on youtube somewhere. His video and my video are different because of one very important detail: Gondy filmed himself doing drumming sequences and LOOPED them, while I hit each drum and piano chord seperately and edited them together. This is a very big difference if you have any idea about video editing. Actually, there is a short sequence of 5 sec where he does cut the beat, but I didn't notice this until recently, which makes me an idiot. But I still don't think it's a rip off, only similar. SO one question to you guys: If I write a song which includes the words "love" and "tight", am I ripping off The Beatles?? :P I met Michel Gondry in Milan, Italy and asked him. He didn't really give me a clear answer, but it seemed like he thought so. Either that or he didn't like my clothes. Lol.

Thomas Dolby - Hyperactive (other version)
Thomas Dolby's "Hyperactive"
I captured this through the use of two different Beta players. I used a Sony SL-300 SuperBetamax for the video, and a Sanyo Betacord for the audio. Neither portion is perfect, but each is better than the other VCR could produce.
This is a different version to the one already posted on YouTube, and is somewhat a fix to the version I had previously uploaded.
This video was captured from MTV's "Video to Go" on Realistic Hi-Fi Beta. Unfortunately, neither of my players are Hi-Fi, so the video is mono.
