My iBook G3
This is the third addition to my Mac collection. This is an iBook G3 Second Generation from 2003. I originally got it with a common iBook G3/G4 video card problem where it would boot up to either a blank or garbled screen. This is because the iBook graphics chips were soldered onto the logic board poorly and through heat and age, the chip breaks free. This is however fixable by soldering the graphics chip back onto the logic board which is what I did.
For those of you with broken iBooks like mine used to be, I followed the instructions here: http://core17.com/notes/ibookGpuFix.pdf
I'm collecting all New World Macs (since the iMac G3) with PowerPC processors (not Intel). I will upload videos of each of them when I get them.

iBook G4 Repair with a Blowtorch
The graphics chip on an old iBook G4 had had the pins underneath it broken due to the bending of the board over time.
Using a compression and heat method we were able to reconnect the pins with the use of flux.
Although the editing leaves room for a different iBook to be put in its place this is in fact the same iBook all the way through the video.
This is the first and only time we have tried this, so we don't knwo for sure whether this is full solution, or a lucky first attempt. And with that said, we won't be taking responsibility if you try it and the results are less than lovely ;)
As you can see at the start of the video the screen is a complete mess, and by the end it looks fine again.
