causality, antinomy, fragmentation, holism, and sealab 2021
Choppy production, stuttering, and late night TV: what else could you ask for?
By the way, this is not a plea for indeterminism. I find that both determinism as well as indeterminism have nonsensical ramifications, so I choose not to subscribe to either.

Dan in The Robot Rebellion
In this episode, we find, Dan, a wannabe producer of electronic music, has teamed up with one of the diminutive robots assigned to domestic (drain clearing) duties, "whom" (as if "human") Dan befriended (while carrying out his ablutions upon his ablations) and enrolled into his stable of musical "talent". As is so typical of "the music industry" though, they have a difference of opinion over indeterminism of their efforts together (something to do with the "flight" of the "counterpoint" in the context of a "whole tone" scales.). Anyway Dan attempts to assert his presumed authority in an effort to take creative control of the intellectual property rights and to be credited first (on the album cover). You know what those bloody "producers" are like, always taking credit for suggesting things that the "artist" was doing anyway. So, the Bot just freaks, He (it) flips out and turns on Dan after enduring long minutes of creative concentration on the binary (the Robots domain really) composition. I believe the argument started cos the Robot suggested to Dan that the "opus" required a "key" change but they fell out over just which key to change to. The irony (and I think you may find this amusing) is that the "whole tone" scale has only two key's, the one you are in and the other one. You may just be able to hear the guide tracks playing as the "Duo" attempt to define the hook line counterpoint licks for the "melody". Now I've known Dan since attending St Mary Abbots C of E primary school (We where in the choir, you understand) back in the 60's and throughout our secondary school years at Holland Park Comprehensive (where no choir existed but much "pot" was smoked out in the park with the "hippies" amid the strained twanging of stringed instruments on the "North Lawn"), but I think the Robot had a point. It's a "no brainer". Oh yeah, and fuck the "middle eight".
