Everyone that got the 1600-1699 errors or the unable to create .ipsw error, redownload the links, (updated to a new version) and re-follow my guide and it WILL WORK!

=1600-1699 error, install the updated link in description
=6 error, you did not put your iPod/iPhone in DFU mode well.
DFU= Completely Black Screen (good)
Restore Mode= "Connect to iTunes" picture (bad)
FOR ALL OF YOU THAT ARE STILL GETTING AN ERROR, TRY THIS:
alright, uhh try this:
After making the custom firmware, then click "iPwner" and select the firmware, it will then say in the left hand box "Deleting iTunes"(or something similar) and then try shift clicking and restoring.
I will be showing you guys how to WinPwn your version 2.0 iPod/iPhone. This is the first ever made video tutorial on Youtube for it.
What WinPWN does is Jailbreak your iPod/iPhone and I believe it also unlocks the iPhone 3G! (but i am not sure about unlocking, so don't take my word for it)
VERY IMPORTANT: (quoted from Winpwn.com)
" - Support for both 1.1.4 and 2.0
- Custom Image Support
- Custom Payload Support
- 3g iPhone support
- Support for WinXP and Vista 32/64bit. Note Windows 2003/2008 server (Yes SERVER) are not supported neither is Windows 95 or Windows 3.11
- You MUST do a full uninstall of winpwn before installing the new version
- Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes ( Currently 7.7)
- WinPwn uses 300MB of ram at peak due to the ipsw being extracted in memory
- You must first click browse and load an IPSW to use WinPwn (i thought this was clear)
- For 2.0 only the *5A347_Restore.ipsw files are valid. The 345 image will not work
- If you see Failed to load image catalog/payload catalog, this is fine and won't cause problems
- If you already have service with AT&T do not activate or install Youtube Fix"

Guide
1. Download Winpwn (remember to get the latest version from the website (winpwn.com))
2. Extract it and install
3. run winpwn, and browse for the ipsw file, and choose it. (the original one)
4. Build the ipsw you want with the custom logos and crap. (should take less than 10 minuates)
5. hit the ipwner button
6. press the power and home button together for 7 seconds, then release power, but hold home.
7. itunes should pop up saying you iphone is in recovery mode, but the screen should still be pure black, if it has the itunes picture restart the iphone, and re-do steps 5-6 until it has black recovery mode screen
8. shift click restore, and choose your custom firmware file, and wait for it to restore
9. Congradulations you iphone has been jailbroken

There have been a few errors while using Winpwn which are very common. here are (hopefully) fixes for those issues
1. "The application failed to initalize properly (0xc0000135)"
Fix: You need to download the Microsoft .NET Framework

2. Error -6 in itunes
This occurs when you are trying to install a custom firmware through iTunes while your ipod is in Restore mode
Fix:In order to install a custom firmware you must be in DFU mode
1)Plug in your ipod and open iTunes
2)Turn on the ipod
3)Hold down the power and home button for 7 seconds
4)Let go of the power button 3 seconds after the screen shuts off
5)Continue holding down the home button until you hear the beep on your computer and iTunes popup says your ipod must be restored

3. Error 1601,2,3,4
This happens when you are trying to install a custom firmware through itunes while your ipod is in partial DFU mode.
Fix#1: You need to put your ipod into true DFU mode
1)Plug in your ipod and open iTunes
2)Turn on the ipod
3)Hold down the power and home button for 7 seconds
4)Let go of the power button 3 seconds after the screen shuts off
5)Continue holding down the home button until you hear the beep on your computer and iTunes popup says your ipod must be restored
Fix #2: If Fix #1 doesnt work try this method
1) Download 2.0 Firmware (iPod1,1_2.0_5A347_Restore)
2) Download and Install WinPwn (2.0.0.3)
3) Create the Custom IPSW File
4) Reboot Computer
5) Restore using Standard 2.0 Firmware
6) Then Restore again using custom firmware you created with WinPwn

Jailbreak 2.0.2 using QuickPwn
Jailbreak iPhone OS 2.0.2 using QuickPwn.
STEPS:
1. Update your jailbroken 2.0 ipod/iphone to 2.0.2
2. Download QuickPwn and extract it.
3. Open QuickPwn-Bundle-Release.
4. Chose your device (iPod/iPhone/3G)
5: Chose the 2.0.1 ipsw file you downloaded.
6: Cydia and Installer.
7. Follow the Instructions on the command prompt or look up on youtube "fast 2.0.1 jailbreak' and follow the video's instructions from the command prompt.

Sorry im not gonna give u direct links coz of piracy Open pwnage tool and select 2.0 firmware do all i say in video and VALLA done restore to it in itunes by using recovery mode shift click restore and select the custom IPSW file! RATE 5 STARS please!!!
