One of my favorite discounters of electronics and computers is Computer Annex USA at 504 South Mountain Avenue in Ontario. Call them at (909) 933-3577. What I like about Computer Annex USA is the business model they use to bring discounted prices to the public. This company is actually a wholesaler and supplier of computers for big businesses. They might lease dozens or even hundreds of computers to one company, while they might sell dozens or hundreds of new computers to another company. Often, Computer Annex USA will order too many units for its business clients, and then it has surplus computers to sell to the public at deeply discounted prices. Computer Annex USA also has a constant turnover of leased computers which must be liquidated at true bargain basement prices. And now, the company also has a full repair and maintenance service department.
Here are some examples of their best buys: used desk top computer systems for $139 complete, used laptops that are refurbished -- and some come with a new hard drive -- for as little as $199.
There are new laptops for as little as $549 by Acer, HP, Dell, Toshiba and Sony.
It's worth the drive to Ontario to check out the store and to make use of their repair and maintenance services. Also check their web site www.ComputerAnnexUSA.com and ask about specials they get on Apple and Apple iPod products.
