The Monty Collier Report (Thomas Richards is Catholic 1)
Thomas Richards, spirituallysmart.com, has made a name for himself pointing out the political and economic lusts of the Catholic Church. However, Richards is now making a name for himself by teaching the same Jesuit theology he claims to reject. Is Thomas Richards intentionally lying? Or, is this self-made internet preacher simply a victim of his own ignorance?
If Thomas Richards opposes the anti-Biblical theology of the Jesuits, then why does he insist on teaching the Jesuit doctrines so easily found in the Councils Of Trent? It is a historical fact that the Jesuits have always contradicted the Bible with their view of justification by faith and works, yet Richards insists on teaching this wicked Jesuit dogma. The rejection of Justification By Faith Alone is a rejection of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In short, Thomas Richards is not a Christian.
History has shown that Jesuits will go as far as to profess Protestantism, Islam, Humanism, and even to attack the Roman Catholic Church in the hope of infiltrating and gaining the trust of those in non-Catholic circles and societies. Then, insidiously, after they have gained the trust of many non-Catholics, they begin to teach the same Catholic doctrines they claimed to repudiate in an attempt to influence that non-Catholic matrix.
Malachi Martin, a former Jesuit, openly admits to and even describes this Jesuit tactic, which he calls "adaptation" and "inculturation." In Martin's book, titled "The Jesuits: The Society Of Jesus And The Betrayal Of The Roman Catholic Church," the former Jesuit writes: "Adaptation was a watchword in traditional Jesuit missiology. The new word was inculturation. The idea was to adapt so severely to the culture of the alien that the missionary would acquire the mind of that culture, and would revamp both doctrine and moral practice to fit that alien culture" (The Jesuits, chapter 19, page 386). That such infiltration has always been part of the Jesuits was made clear early on in Malachi Martin's book. He wrote, "The Jesuits carried the battle right into the territories of these papal enemies...they infiltrated hostile territories in disguise, and moved around underground. They were everywhere" (The Jesuits, Introduction, page 28).
If you have kept up with Thomas Richards' website, then you know that it began by attacking Catholicism, then, later on, Richards began to upload religious doctrinal messages for his audience. These messages immediately rejected the sole authority of Scripture by asserting a continuing revelation from God apart from His Word, just as the Catholic Church does today. These religious teachings make a point to base the salvation of fallen man partly upon the work of Christ, but mainly upon the work of the sinner, just as the Catholic Church does today. Thomas Richards is clearly guilty of religious double-speak. However, and more alarming, he is helping to bring unsuspecting victims back into the arms of the Catholic Church. Knowing that Thomas Richards comes from a Roman Catholic upbringing and education, one stops to ponder the possibilities of Jesuit inculturation. Interesting as this may be, it really doesn't matter, for God's elect can not be turned away from the truth of Scripture. The Lord preserves His own and makes them continue in the faith.
In this video Mr. Collier examines and refutes conspiracy theorist turned Arminian evangelist Thomas Richards. Specifically, Mr. Collier refutes Thomas Richards' Catholic view of justification. Mr. Collier then puts forth the correct Calvinist doctrine from Scripture Alone.
